A couple days after I got back from my honeymoon I got a call that gave me the incredible opportunity to fly over to Florence, Italy to shoot a destination wedding with my good friend, Sean Flanigan. The trip was a whirlwind as we were only gone for about 5 days but well worth it. Here are some of my favorite images of the day.

amazing job on this one. awesome location and awesome shots.

Hello,

I know this is an odd request, but first well done you with the photos. Great shots, really good. Your friends were lucky to have you there in Florence.

Okay, now for the request, I was wondering if you be able to ask your friend, Sean, who he hired for the wedding planning. I see that he got married in San Salvatore, but you took shots at San Miniato. I am trying everything I can to get San Miniato, but would still love to lock down San Savatore. It’s been difficult.

My name is Christine and I hope to hear from you. Thank you.

Had to look at this again. So, so good. My fave of the year?

This post loaded 40 minutes, but it was SO worth waiting! This pictures are pure inspiration, You just got another follower… :)

I am in awe!! Great job mate

awesome stuff!! I love florence! the shots you took of th duomo are awesome!

these photos really blew me away! gorgeous views of florence.

Beautiful work! I really like the ‘Italian Gothic’ shadow shot – fun. :)

I feel like I have waited forever to see these images after your teaser post. I love them-you really are amazing. And excuse me-Jonas Peterson AND Benj Haisch… at a wedding? Oh my…

that florentine light is phen-freakin-omenal. your processing really brings that out… and you and your T/S! these are gorgeous…

Doesn’t look 2nd shooter… Great images and storytelling!

Love every one. I saw some of yours on SF’s site the other day and thought “I know I’ve seen these somewhere already” and for a moment I thought someone had stolen some pics. Then I bothered to read his blurb :)

Congrats on an amazing opportunity. I’m a huge fan!

Awesome post…..from shooting to editing this post rocked!

Love your editing on these, especially the black and white…gorgeous!! my fave is the 4th from the bottom ;)

Simply Amazing. I recognize almost all of these locations around Florence from my trip there in 2007. You did an amazing job. Love the new film look. Are you using the new grain feature inside LR3?

always impressed with your work, sir. the photo of Dan sitting in the church is rockstar status. keep it up.

Very nice…That shot with the umbrella…Total hotness!

Benj, absolutely beautiful work. It’s a problem for me to see these images because it makes me want to blow some cash on a tilt/shift. I especially love the shot through the arch where you can really see the T/S effect fully with the cars far back still in focus. Thanks for this post. It makes me miss Florence. It’s been years.

*sigh* so gorgeous. I miss Florence.

jonas. we WILL rock the house. should be good, man.

Great stuff, man. Can’t wait until next next summer in San Diego. We should rock the house.

You completely rocked this, Benj. Oh and the Guinness? Nice touch. :-)

you make me want a tilt-shift so bad. I love your work. congrats on a phenomenal wedding.
